I just wanted to inform those who subscribe to my Stack that I will be taking a break for a while to complete another project. I have been exploring a new direction with a fictional piece that I am finally going to dedicate myself to completing.
Writing has been an interesting adventure for me. I initially started writing a few years ago based on a promise to a man whom I have the utmost respect for, a man who helped guide me through very turbulent times. He often spoke to me about the benefits of writing and he lamented that he did not do as much as he wanted. I started my journey as a writer with a few books about topics that were important to me at the time, but then moved to the stack to reflect and explore who I was as a writer. I did not realize how much I would learn along the way, about myself and the world around me.
While I have very much enjoyed writing, I am not sure yet what direction I wish to take this page, I might even change it up a bit or start a new publication. But I will return in the future when I have completed this project that I am finally committing to.
In the meantime, I will minimize my distractions and stay off of the stack. I will leave my writing up in case anyone is interested, I do not currently have any plans to take it down.
Before I go, I wish to convey gratitude to all of the fellow authors and stackers who I have read and corresponded with. Often I am humbled when reading the essays or notes of others as they remind me of not only just how much I have yet to learn- but how far I have yet to go in developing my own writing. I truly thank you all for these lessons.
There are indeed many bright souls and brilliant HUMAN minds on here. I pray for all of you as you struggle within and without. Likewise, I shall keep fighting until my name is called.
God bless you all.
You will be most sorely missed, good sir. I am glad your writings here shall remain available for future persual and reference, and I am sure whoever it was that motivated you to dedicate yourself to writing would be most proud of the refreshingly honest, insightful work you have graciously and courageously shared with us here.
I wish you joy and success in your current/future projects, and I selfishly hope only that you may find some way to keep us posted when there are any exciting new developments on those fronts down the line.
All the best to you, and God bless. And remember that "unless we’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!" ;)
Greatly grateful (excuse my gratuitous alliteration) for all the thoughtful and thought-provoking conversations (well, on my end at least; I'm sure it was an asymmetric trade :P)! I too echo Apollo's comment that you will be missed for sure (calibre of your work is difficult to find on the 'Stack), but all the best wishes for the fictional piece (and the distractionless future).
Vaya con Dios!
